The Georgetown MSF Summer Clinics

Our students are increasingly interested in gaining new experiences that can help facilitate a "career pivot." That is why we developed the Georgetown MSF Summer Clinics for students to engage in challenging, in-depth, fast-paced projects with corporate clients in the areas of investing and consulting.

These eight-week experiences are flexible; allowing students to gain an internship-like experience from anywhere in the world even if they already are working full time. The MSF Summer Clinics are led by a team of industry-experienced Executives-in-Residence who bring a real-world perspective to the program.

Students are paired together in small teams to work on complex projects for corporate partners that culminate with an in-person presentation to senior industry leaders. The MSF Summer Clinics offer an excellent opportunity for you to test-drive a career field, develop or expand existing skills, interact with executives and thought leaders in different career areas, and gain valuable experience to discuss in an interview.

Student Testimonials

Chip Hinkel, MSF'18
Consultant, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Houston, Texas

"I enrolled in the MSF to facilitate a mid-career transition. I didn't fully appreciate the opportunities that I would have after graduation when I joined the program, however through participation in a variety of experiences, like the MSF Summer Clinics, I was able to narrow down my field of interest. The clinic experience, combined with the deep financial knowledge I gained in the program, provided the right formula for success in my job search. After graduation, I accepted a position as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). From learning to manage clients, to creatively addressing business problems, to anticipating the consulting lifestyle, the MSF program prepared me for the challenges my new position presents."

Thomas McKean, MSF'17
Assistant Vice President, Research Barclays, New York, New York

Just before graduation, I leveraged my degree to secure my current position."
