Dr. Spinard is the Executive in Residence for the Georgetown Master of Science in Finance program. Dr. Spinard recently retired from Ernst & Young, LLP where he was an Executive Director and one of the leaders in their insurance risk management practice. For the past 30 years he has been a consultant on risk management issues with a primary focus on the financial services industry. During this time he designed and managed a number of complex projects the areas of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), risk quantification and economic capital, operational risk, and corporate governance.
At Georgetown Dr. Spinard manages the MSF Consulting Clinic and is one of the faculty members on MSF’s Global Consulting Project. Dr. Spinard holds an MBA and a Ph.D. in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Spinard also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Johns Hopkins University.
